Topic: Status of TR1?

I could have sworn that I recently read that TR1 was all but officially approved
-- that all that remained was one more round of official balloting. But n1809
lists a boatload of issues that appear to have been unresolved as of last April.
Have these issues since been taken care of, and if so, are the resolutions
available somewhere?

What is the official status of TR1?

Thanks,

Scott

Last I heard it's approved and off to ISO for publication.
We are now maintaining a list of defects against TR1,
just like for the Standard C++ library. Like any piece
of software that is being actively implemented and used,
it is producing a steady stream of small issues that
need to be addressed and resolved.

We've got a complete implementation of TR1 working
on various compilers and platforms, so we know it's
basically workable.

It passed its ballot of national bodies unanimously with no comments.
It's working its way through the ISO hierarchy. There is an issues list
(N1837 -- I think I misdirected you to an older one, N1809) that
includes resolutions of issues that have been resolved. There are some
issues that have not been resolved, and they are marked as "open".

Thanks. Is there a more recent version of TR1 than n1836? That one is from
last June and is still marked as a draft.

No, that's the latest. It stays a draft until the approval process is
finished.
