Unfortunately there are problems with simply copying large amounts of text
from copyrighted material and circulating it freely. I did not gain
approval from people who have far more invested in the Standard than I do,
and decided it would be better to leave the production and distribution of
these files to the Standard Committee. I regret that I found it prudent to
remove the files from public access. I certainly would have welcomed and
assistance in cleaning them up and fleshing them out. After spending many
hours looking for copy errors, both human and machine produced, I still
have several problems with the files, and I have barely touched the
important locale library.
