Unfortunately, the marketing departments at many companies, including Sun,
tend to make public statements without clearing them with engineering
for accuracy. When I found out about incorrect claims on Sun's web pages,
I took steps to get them corrected. But the same incorrect claims get
propagated to many places and have to be cleaned up one by one. :-(
