Each time I've published a book since 1995, I've tried to express my
appreciation to the newsgroups that helped me with the research by giving
newsgroup members a chance to win an autographed copy of the book.  I've
just published a new book, and I'd like to thank you again.  The posting I
prepared describing the book and the giveaway were legitimately judged
off-topic for this newsgroup, but you can read about both in a posting from
me to comp.lang.c++.moderated and microsoft.public.vc.stl with the subject
"Effective STL."  Regardless of whether you chase down that posting, thank
you for your help with the book.
