I'm sure various industries have established standards for the use of
C++, though I couldn't tell you where to find them. However, the way you
ask the question makes me wonder whether you're aware of the existence
of the International Standard for C++? If not, you can get a copy of it
for $18 by following the links at the bottom of every message on this
newsgroup.

Note that the standard you mentioned costs about $250. There is also an
ISO/IEC/ANSI C++ standard with same number that sell for $18. It differs
from the ISO/IEC standard mentioned above in that has a stamp on it saying
it has been accepted by ANSI, otherwise it is identical. If you choose the
wrong one, you will not be able to change later.
It is like the difference between an oral and rectal thermometer -- the taste.
So choose according to taste.
