Topic: What has happened to clc++m

There is a post on comp.lang.c++ which give a little more
information--apparently, the software used to distribute posts to the
moderators is down. If you want to see the post yourself, "lang" is
mispelled, so look for c++.moderated.

I know this is not on topic, but this newsgroup is still functioning and
there is a considerably overlap with comp.lang.c++.moderated. The last
posting I had from that ng was early Tuesday (July 18). How widespread
is this problem?

Same here. At first I thought it might be my news server, but I see that
deja has the same problem.

Server mailer problems plus a collection of coincidences. Early
Tuesday is correct time of failure. Hopefully back on line by Monday.

The problem is local to comp.lang.c++.moderated. More precisely, the
problem seems to be that e-mails are not processed correctly at the
moderation site. This is a problem outside of our (ie. the moderator's
of comp.lang.c++.moderated) control: We have informed the system
administrator after detecting the problem. However, apparently this
problem is not yet fixed... We hope to resume proper operation as soon
as possible but I have no idea when this will be.

I had a note from John Potter, one of the clc++m moderators, that the
main server has been down since last Tuesday. He expects it to be up
by next Tuesday.
