Topic: FAQ problem - needn't the FAQ be updated ?

I read in the FAQ that C++ Standard document's can be obtained
only two ways : be the member of the committee, or ask who is
in the committe privately because neither the committee nor the
members have authority to distribute in public.
But I saw it selling here.
http://webstore.ansi.org/ansidocstore/default.asp
It doesn't seem to be a pubilc-comment version.
I want to know If this is the final draft.

I believe it is the standard itself. Since it has been approved, it is no
longer considered a *draft*.

You either have an old copy of the FAQ, or you skipped the first
question in section B. Note that in the current FAQ, question B.3
is talking about draft versions that are newer that the last
public draft, but question B.1 talks about the final, cast-in-stone
document.

Yes, it is. The cost is $18 US. Or, if you prefer, you can buy
a printed copy -- for just under 10 times the price.

No it is the Standard. National Bodies have the authority to sell
standards else how would anyone get to use one.

Evidently you found some out-of-date FAQ; you didn't say
where you found it.
If you read the FAQ referenced at the bottom of every posting
in this newsgroup, it explains that what you found is the final
standard, and anyone can buy a copy.
