Ed Staub is using MS Outlook Express for reading news, and its automatic
linking is broken; it doesn't recognise plus signs as valid characters (it
screws up links in other ways too). I suspect Ed hasn't noticed this and is
just clicking on the links MSOE creates instead of cut-and-pasting to his
browser.

MSOE "HTML-ifies" the comp.std.c++ moderation sig like this:

...leaving none of the links intact!

I don't think that MSOE is (necessarily) the problem with finding the
FAQ either. That's my newsreader, and the links work for me. I do,
however, have the MSIE 4.01 patch, which may have fixed this particular
problem.

I should have written about this a few months ago, when I first noticed
it...
I can't get to the FAQ page, and never have been able to (since about
11/1/97).
The SGI server gives me a "broken link" page instead.
Anybody have any ideas? My browser and ISP seem fine otherwise.
