I may like Eiffel's syntax and consistency somewhat
more than C++'s, but Eiffel's template-like facilities
are no match for C++ templates. In particular, I don't
think you can build very sophisticated metaprograms in
Eiffel.

This is but one aspect of "powerful languages", but it
makes C++ stand apart.
