I have just started Windows programming and I was wondering if someone
could direct me in the right direction.  Currently I am looking for a library
(prefferably freeware) for Visual C++ if it is neccessary, to access Network
Drives directly.  I want to be able to connect and disconnect Network Drives
from a program, provided that a machine name and resource name and password are
supplied in a file.

 Secondly, and less importantly, I would like to learn how to use Windows
Sockets to be able to send email.  Or if anybody knows an easier way to talk to
a special mail program that would be good too.  I just want to be able to send
email from a program.
