Try http://home.netscape.com and then select the search link, and do a
search for C. But you are more likely to have success with a book: I
learned C with Dave Mark's "Learn C on the Macintosh."

There are some www sites that will teach you computer programming. The
one I know for C++ is http://info.desy.de/gna/html/cc/index.html. You
can find information on C (no ++) and other languages at
http://www.yahoo.com/. These sites link to a lot of other places, and
you could probably find info on C++ (no C).

Try comp.lang.c The FAQ is posted on the first of every month, and it is
a very lively group.

Hi,
I have a small potential problem. I am interested in learning the C++
programming language, in order to enhance my computer/programmer
skills. So, I bought a book this weekend entitled 'teach yourself...
C++', 4th ed. by Al Stevens. It said for the beginner and includes a
disk with a C++ compiler, but neglects to mention until you get into
the text of the 1st chapter that it assumes you have a pretty thorough
knowlege of C!!!!!!! I am just starting, I have NEVER used C.
Obviously I wasn't happy about this, but my programming aptitudes are
pretty strong so I will still try to use it.
My question is this: is there anything here on the 'Net that I can
download (even a FAQ??) that will give me the basics of the C language
if I need to fall back on it? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.
