Hello;
This is my first post to this group. I certainly hope I am posting my
questions to the right place!!
My problem begins with the creation of my first project. I named it
C:\hello\hello.ide. The Taget name was hello (by default). Target type was set
at EasyWin(.exe) as the book I am using advised. Target model: large.
From this point, I was given a hello.exe and a hello.c. I entered the code
into the .c file, and tried to compile using all three options:compile, make
all, and build all. Obviously, I got an error. The compiler was looking for
the stdio.h instead of the iostream.h that I used.
My questions are simply how do I create a project that will give me a .cpp
extension on my source file (Do I need to change settings? Did I use the
wrong target? target size? Project path?) and which command should I use for
such a simple compile? I know to dbl. click the .exe to run/test the program.
As should now be quite obvious to the experienced programmer, I am a novice,
at BEST. I have a real need to learn this language, and this compiler is the
best I can get at this time. I do not know how to use the DOS editor and
import the code to compile. I am absolutely STUCK. I would be MOST grateful
for your assistance, either by E-Mail or post.
Thank you.
