Well I'm way out of my depth speaking up here but I do agree with Sander
on the subject of kill & auto select.

Sorry, but this does not work: you'd never notice new interesting
people. The kill file works perfectly: just remove postings from
people whom you know to be uninteresting. This keeps an open mind towards
all others plus all new comers.
