Hmmm.... I had used these operators as friends to the stream library
and all seemed 2 work properly. I'm not sure u meant the same case.
Please, clearify your question if u want 2 get clearer answer. Better,
include some code fragments in your Q.

I have got problems when using templates and overloaded operators .
I overload operators << and >>  as friend functions of the class,
and it doesnt run unless i declare it like member functions .
I made it with Borland C++ and it ran ok, but now im triying to do it
with GNU (g++) and there is not way.
