QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

BS/MS/Ph.D. EE/CS/CE.   Successful candidate will have 2+ years
experience
in IC component test development and automatic test equipment usage.
Experience with Schlumberger S9000 tester preferred. Position requires
knowledge of VLSI and digital design and test concepts and experience
working with CAD tools. In addition, candidate should have 2+ years
of software development experience in a UNIX environment. Familiarity
with C++ and object-oriented design is desirable.  Candidate is
expected to have excellent communication, decision-making and
problem-solving capabilities.  Candidate must have a high level
of commitment to task.


DUTIES SPECIFIC TO THIS JOB:

Primary responsibility will be to evaluate and participate in the
requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of test
development CAD tools that will be used in support of the next
generation of microprocessors.  Candidate will interact with
customers, vendors, and other tool developers to obtain the
requirements and feedback.  Candidate will also be responsible
for defining and implementing improvements in the test development
methodologies and processes that incorporate the test CAD tools.
