Calling Matlab within C++

Hi,

I am writting C++ codes for control system design. The problem
is that I have to use some Matlab functions. I would like
to know if it is possible to call Matlab as a black box
design engine within the C++ code. For instance, if
the matrix class is declared in C++ but we need to use
Matlab function to calculate eigen values of a matrix,
could we call Matlab without entering matlab windows?
