I want to learn to program in c++.
 I have MVC++ for windows 2.0... STANDARD edition (no dos)

 I have no real experience with programming, but I'm determined to learn.

 Can anyone suggest a intro-level book?  All of the books I've run
into start by saying I must be familiar with C, but many have suggested
that it would be better just to start in with C++ and not learn any "bad
habits".
