Several Smalltalk vendors, in conjunction with International Data
Corporation, are conducting a study of new software development
technologies. The goal of the study is to gain a better understanding of
the experiences of a representative group of organizations in the United
States. In particular they will be comparing and contrasting Smalltalk as
a development alternative with C++, COBOL, 4GLs and OO scripting
languages. To our knowledge, this is the first study of its kind.

The results of the survey will be used in a white paper on Smalltalk
development which will be written by IDC and provided to the funding
companies. It is expected that portions of this white paper will be
submitted to the press in an effort to increase the general awareness of
the benefits of Smalltalk.

Please participate if:

- C++ application development activities are occurring at your
location(s).

- You feel qualified to answer question about the application development
requirements, activities and plans at your location(s)?

- You have one or more years experience using C++?

If you meet the above criteria and have an interest in participating in the
survey please send:
