Topic: HELP with various dos compilations

I have a program written in C++ that runs fine on a machine with DOS
6.2. The program was written with C++ v4.0 for Windows. The program was
written for DOS though. It is a very simple program. There are no
graphics involved. It is a small sales aanalysis program written for
Oxford University Press. It simply reads in sets of data and text. A
number of formulas are applied to the data to come up with book weights
and volume sales projections. The program was compiled on the DOS 6.2
machine.
The executable runs to a certain part in the program where it is
collecting data from the user and it freezes at the same spot every
time. But it only does this on the PC running DOS 3.3. Do I need to
recomplie it on a 3.3 PC or reinstall a higher DOS version on the PC. Is
the DOS version even relevant at all?
If you know how to solve this problem or what I might be doing wrong,
please respond via personal E-mail. Thank you.
