I have read recently that exception handling is being added to the C++
standard.  THis is good, but what of constraints and a constraint solver??
Does anyone know if this is being considered????

Not as far as I have heard, but you have come to the right place.  C++
is like a phone both full of college freshman: there is always room
for one more.
