I would be very grateful if somebody could answer this question about Turbo C++ V.3
I am just beginning to learn about computer science so I am not very familiar with the more technicaL aspects e.g. memory handling in PCs
I have only an old 286 IBM compatible PC. Apparently this has only 1 MByte of memory of which only ~1/3 Mbyte is "extended memory".
According to the Borland teletphone helpline TC++ v.3 requires at least 1MByte of extended memory - so I am understandably reluctant to buy TC++ at the 60 pounds or so it costs here. But is it possible to run TC++ v.3 with only a limited amount of extended memory if I only install the tiny or small memory models on my PC since most of my programs are small anyway - typically no more thAN 20 lines of code.?
Thank you very much in advance for any answers
