I can't seem to get the Turbo Debugger for Windows to load up properly. I'm
running (attempting) it under Windows 3.1 with PC-Tools desktop. When I try to
load it the screen displays the menu and then random pixels. The menu doesn't work and my system hangs up. My system is a Gateway 486 DX2/66 with a Diamond
Viper video card(1meg). I have plenty of memory to run it. I've already tried installing the vesa?.dll file in the file that the readme file suggested.
i've tried everything else that I know of. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I need this for class this semester.

Thanks in advance,
Quentin

I've had similar problems, although the system didn't hang up - just the display
got scrambled. I found the answer somewhere in the Turbo Debugger manual in that
it only works in certain "standard" video modes. 600x400x256c was one, as was
1024x768x256c. 800x600 modes and modes with lots of colours were not supported.

Try setting your display type for Windows back to standard VGA, i.e. 600x400x16c
and then see if it works. If it does you have found the problem and can
experiment to find other video modes that work.
