This is propably a simple problem.  But I'm trying to write an invoice
type program for a friend.  I know how to read and write to a file but how
do you say save an invoice number, or a debit, credit amount, and then add
something to it.  I know how you get stuff from a file, but only character
by character, not integers that I can add + 1 to.
     If this makes sense, please help.
