It would be very easy to apply to one of these positions.  But it may take

I have sent this person a note asking him to confine his commercially-
oriented postings to newsgroups provided specifically for that purpose.

I asked him not to argue about appropriateness and free speech.  Sure,
you can make a case, but there seems to be a consensus against it and
some organizations must keep commercial postings off of their systems.

Still, if he wants to argue, he'll surely get one on Usenet!  A lot
more than he ever bargained for, I bet.
