I am posting this for a friend who wants to do a paper on distributed
extensions for C++.
He has a three part question:
1) Does anyone have an ftp'able copy of "Extending C++ with Communicating
Sequential Processes", J.M. Adamo, Research report LIP RR 90-25? Was this
later published in a journal?
2) Is J.M. Adamo out there in netland?
3) Does anyone have additional information related to distributed extensions
to C++. E-mail or anonymous ftp is preffered.
E-mail can be sent to me and I will ensure that he gets it. Mail can be sent
to gordon@meaddata.com or to gedwards@cs.wright.edu.
Thanks,
Gordon Edwards

I have two pointers for you.
1. The "Fragmented Objects" idea described in the following technical report.
@techreport{Makpangou91,
author="Makpangou, Mesaac and Yvon Gourhant and Jean-Pierre Le
Narzul and Marc Shapiro",
title="Structuring distributed applications as fragmented objects",
organization="INRIA, projet SOR",
year=1991,
month="Jan"}
I don't have the citation online, but the fragmented object idea also
appeared in a paper in the Proceedings of the 1990 Usenix C++
Conference.
2. The work done in a project I'm part of, the DARPA Open OODB
project, contains a strong element of distribution supporting C++.
Postscript documents are available for FTP from csc.ti.com. See
especially the following document.
@techreport{OOODB:91Arch3,
location="DB library",
author="D. Wells",
title="Open Object-Oriented Database Preliminary
Architecture Specification",

year=1991,
institution="Texas Instruments",
organization="Computer Science Center",
address="Dallas, Texas",
