I really liked the =E2=80=99Thoughts about C++17=E2=80=99 document <ht=
tps://isocpp.org/files/papers/D4492.pdf> that Bjarne put together ahead of =
the Lenexa ISO WG21 meeting. It was a very good summary of what was then t=
he current status of the C++17 working draft and the various technical spec=
ifications. I was wondering if anybody plans to put something similar toge=
ther in time for the Kona meeting. Barring that, perhaps the ISO C++ web s=
ite=E2=80=99s =E2=80=99Current Status=E2=80=99 page <https://isocpp.org/std=
/status> could be augmented with something similar (perhaps under the =E2=
=80=98Progression Notes=E2=80=99 Excel worksheet or in the page=E2=80=99s =
=E2=80=98Project Details=E2=80=99 sub-section?) Having a central place to =
go to look for notes on what=E2=80=99s going to be in upcoming TSes and rev=
isions of the standard would be very nice; C++17=E2=80=99s Wikipedia articl=
e isn=E2=80=99t necessarily up to date at all times, and blog posts about p=
rogress in these directions can become infrequent. =20

While I loved Bjarne's paper, I don't think that it was an adequate summary
of the committee's work at that time. It was a great declaration of what
C++17 *ought* to be, but it didn't really cover the specific work that was
being done.
For that, I prefer the various post-meeting blog reports. Herb Sutter,
barring death, injury, or disinterest in C++, will probably keep posting a
solid summary of the committee's work. And there is usually at least one
other solid summation as well, usually two.
While I would love the C++ status page being more up-to-date about the
various TSs (or at least somewhere that we can go to find out the status of
a paper), I don't think that's likely to happen.
