Who says they are successful?
It's existed for 14 years and has nowhere near as much adoption as C++.

By successful I meant it's used in real-world applications. I don't think
they (i.e. also Rust etc.) have no chance of replacing C++ since C++11.

I don't think "there are applications" is a good measure of success.
There are still business-critical applications written in COBOL. There are=

applications written on very fringe languages...
